Foundations
EASI is based on the Big Five (also known as the OCEAN model) and particularly considers the dimensions of Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, and Agreeableness.
Validity
Criterion validity: 94% of test subjects rated the congruence as “very good.”
Construct validity: Good item-scale correlations (r=0.55) and factor analyses show good agreement with the Big Five.
Differential Item Functioning (DIF): No significant differences regarding gender, country, age, or education level.
Reliability
Behavioral scale: Cronbach’s Alpha Ø = 0.87
Motivation scale: Cronbach’s Alpha Ø = 0.89
