The scientific basis of EASI

Foundations
EASI is based on the Big Five (also known as the OCEAN model) and particularly considers the dimensions of Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, and Agreeableness.

Norms
National norms and an international overall norm are available. The combined norm samples include more than 20,000 responses.

Validity
Criterion validity: 94% of test subjects rated the congruence as “very good.”

Construct validity: Good item-scale correlations (r=0.55) and factor analyses show good agreement with the Big Five.

Differential Item Functioning (DIF): No significant differences regarding gender, country, age, or education level.

Reliability
Behavioral scale: Cronbach’s Alpha Ø = 0.87
Motivation scale: Cronbach’s Alpha Ø = 0.89
